A dear friend of mine in seminary posted a blog here calling Christian, and all other, communities to be bold in their inclusivity. I encourage you to wonder over and read it - wonderfully written but a wonderful woman.

Thanks for sharing, Liz...I know I've said it before, but I appreciate the way you (and your faith) are so accepting of others. I think I can say you've changed my perspective on Christianity.
ahh katy! that's nice to hear :) my friend who wrote the blog post was absolutely right on - the hate that is heard from Christians is the minority, but those of us who claim inclusivity and love are not doing our job standing with the oppressed and marginalized. it's hard, but exactly what we're called to do.
